Government Contracting & Procurement

Assisting the Construction Industry with Bids, Contracts, and Litigation

Our Government Contracting & Procurement team provides legal advice and services on the many aspects of government contracting and public procurement, from bid strategy through bid protests and litigation. These services include:

  • Preparation of joint venture agreements and teaming arrangements
  • Minority and service-disabled contracting guidance
  • Bid protests and challenges
  • Contract administration and claims

Our lawyers also litigate contract disputes and claims involving contractors, subcontractors, and sureties. We also assist both general and subcontractors in the construction, service, and supply contracting industries with both the federal government and the State of Mississippi.

In addition, we provide insight and assistance in navigating the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and state procurement laws. Our attorneys have represented contractors before the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA), the Mississippi Board of Contractors, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Mississippi Department of Revenue. We also have experience representing clients in dealings with the Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
